So our server had a major disk drive crash, and our primary backups were, um, lacking.
Our webmasters are furiously at work restoring the site to it’s former glory, but they’re kinda young and still have chubby fingers, so it might take a while. Hopefully the hosting folks can get up back up and going soon, jcumberland, cause we’ve got a boatload of cuteness in store for this week!

Here at Cute Baby Fix, we are huge fans of baby animals, and that makes the Baby Animal ABC’s a great hit for us. From marmosets to penguins, pandas to zebras, they are cute and adorable, even of they’re not fuzzy!

The star of this story is  Owen,  a hippo calf orphaned at 4 months old.  When taken to the reserve, he somehow decides to become best friends with Mzee, a 130 year old tortise.  She is crangy and grumpy and wants nothing to do with anyone, until Owen’s perservence wins her over.  They are now bosom buddies - a heartwarming story indeed, emdot.
